– Let’s create more unforgettable memories

Dear MFK supporters,

As the season slowly approaches, I’d like to address a few things. I’d like to talk about sacrifice. Something that this whole group of players has individually and collectively experienced. We’re blessed to be able to play the game that we all love, and even more fortunate to be paid even a single kroner to do so, but without sacrifice none of it would be possible. I remember thousands of hours of training, driving to games, and about what feels like a million hours, dreaming of playing professional football. As of right now, I’m thousands of kilometers away from my family and friends, and so are many others from this team. The reason I bring this up is for each and every supporter to know how special this club truly is. Us players wouldn’t sacrifice the things we do, if we didn’t love this club wholeheartedly.

After I was awarded last year’s supporters’ player of the season, I wrote on Instagram “…beyond grateful to have fell in love with this game again.” And that was all due to MFK. Never in my life have I ever felt such love from a club, and I know I’m not the only one from this team who has experienced it. As I mentioned earlier, us players wouldn’t be here, if we didn’t realize how special this club is.

As we approach this April 1st, sacrifice will yet again be the main topic of conversation. Putting our bodies on the line, running until we cramp, and bleeding black and yellow. When Kråkevingen and all of Melløs sing our names, all of the above just seems so much easier.

This past year I’ve created memories that I’ll remember for the rest of my life, and every single fan will forever be a part of that. So please join us on April 1st. Let’s create more unforgettable memories because I have a feeling this year will be special.
